我感謝你，上帝，因為經過長期的觀察、比較和研究之後，我發覺我是同類刺蝟中刺兒最短的一隻。
我怕極了跟那些乖戾的刺蝟相處，我真不得不從他們中間分別為聖了。唉，你真不敢想像他們有多討厭，我想除了我姓“蝟”以外，他們大概全姓“刺”吧！他們的刺那麼長，誰一靠近就准被刺得混身發顫，唉，唉，和他們共事真是苦死人了——所以我只好做一隻孤獨的刺蝟。
老實說，刺兒能生得像我這麼短，真是很難得的。我想你一定喜歡我比喜歡長針刺蝟多得多吧！你看，我一大清早就來守晨更了，你是我唯一不討厭的物件。
好吧，再見，上帝。從此刻到明天早上，我又將有一段漫長的孤獨。保護我不遇見其他的刺蝟，免得我犯罪，(如果他們把我惹火了，罪過在你不在我，因為我早就通知你了。) 阿門。

Well, this is a very good prayer to the God in term of its intention and desire. I find the author is honest enough in acknowledging her self weakness of short sting, incapability and incompetence to mix with the mainstream community of long sting. She does not want to upset and grumble the others with long sting. What she prays for is to ask the Lord to protect her and help her to avoid the hurt and injury in getting along with her peer of long sting.
回覆刪除One thing we could learn from her is to have the best personal devotion time with the God earlier in the morning as the first most important and highest priority thing for our day. She does not want to be a long sting as it is so easy to get upset and angry when we get hurt and face with sins.
Yes, our words in the prayer may be very simple and poor in term of expression and literal structure. But, the most important part of our prayer is our pure honest heart and spirit in God. Have we used our true and full heart in God for His Glory, Holiness, Kindness, Peace, Love and Mercy in our life. Prayer is not only just for us, but also for other too...
