When we are in midst of mist, we start to worry. We do not know where we are going to. We go nowhere in our mind.
When we are sick, when we lose our job, when we break our romance, when our beloved has passed away, we feel we are in the mist of life as we cannot see what happen next.
When we are in the high risk of life in the serious illness, the feelings of mist in life is even worst. We may even ask, “What is my future anymore? My life will end very soon.....” Now, we are trying to find the direction, which points to the way out, out of the mist into a bright world of clear visibility.
Today is a mist day for a sister in Christ, a really heavy misty day with thick cloth of mist all over the place. She said,
“I will be performed the 2nd chemotherapy with lower dose this afternoon in my ward. Although I am not sure whether I am able to afford it along with my radiotherapy.....
Throughout the past several weeks treatment in the hospital, I have really experienced that our God will not leave us alone no matter how good/bad our situation is. Of course, it is really painful physically......”
Blessingly, the sister is not hopeless and helpless in God in her heart, even though she is in the thick mist of life in danger of death.
In mist, we wish we have a special yellow light which can help us to see better and look further away. However, yellow light still have the limit of visibility. It can improve but not clear out all the mist.
We know on ground, we have mist, in sky we have cloud. If cloud lands on the ground, it becomes mist. We learn from Bible and see the loving and Almighty God appearing in the Cloud and coming from the Cloud. In future, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ, will come in the Cloud from the Heaven in His Greatest Glory, Victory and Power.
We may have mist and very heavy mist in our life journey. However, our Almighty God is all above the mist on Earth and the Cloud in the Sky from the Heaven. Yellow light has the limited visibility, but our loving God has full visibility for future because only God can control the tomorrow and He is the Lord of history and future.
Our future of life is controlled by the Father and guided by the Lord. Even though we do not see, know and understand, in faith, we know and believe “Our God of life and eternity knows everything and helps us whatever we face, wherever we go and whoever we are.”
In faith, we believe, “A shining sun above the Cloud. A loving God in the mist. A living God in the darkness. A hopeful God in the valley of death.”
Jesus assures us,
約 翰 福 音 John 8:12 耶 穌 又 對 眾 人 說 、 我 是 世 界 的 光 ． 跟 從 我 的 、 就 不 在 黑 暗 裡 走 、 必 要 得 著 生 命 的 光 。 8:12 Then again Jesus said to them, I am the light of the world; he who comes with me will not be walking in the dark but will have the light of life.
詩139:11 我若說：黑暗必定遮蔽我，我周圍的亮光必成為黑夜； If I say, "Let only darkness cover me, and the light about me be night," 詩139:12 黑暗也不能遮蔽我，使你不見，黑夜卻如白晝發亮。黑暗和光明，在你看都是一樣。 even the darkness is not dark to thee, the night is bright as the day; for darkness is as light with thee.

思想黑暗與光明，在祂看為都是一樣。在迷霧的初期感到困境，但穿越迷霧又是另一個超脫的感受。
在困苦一刻的確会有苦的感覺，經過忍耐倚靠，便苦困不再。
