這地方的人賢於帖撒羅尼迦的人，甘心領受這道，天天考查聖經，要曉得這道是與不是。

17:11呂振中： 這里的人比在帖撒羅尼迦的高尚﹔他們很熱心地接受這道，天天考查經典、看這些事是不是這樣。

新譯本： 這裡的人，比帖撒羅尼迦人開明，熱切接受主的道，天天考查聖經，要知道所聽的是否與聖經相符。

King James： These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

New International： Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

新譯本： 結果他們中間有很多人信了，也有高貴的希臘婦女，男的也不少。

King James ：Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.

New International： Many of the Jews believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men.
