1:17 和合本 因為　神的義、正在這福音上顯明出來．這義是本於信、以致於信．如經上所記、『義人必因信得生。』

呂振中 因為上帝救人的義正在這上頭顯示出來，是始于信而終于信的﹔正如經上所記︰「因信而成為義的人必得活著。」

新譯本 　神的義就是藉著這福音顯明出來，本於信而歸於信，正如經上所記：“義人必因信得生。”

King James For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Revised Std For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, "He who through faith is righteous shall live."

American Std For therein is revealed a righteousness of God from faith unto faith: as it is written, But the righteous shall live by faith.

Basic English For in it there is the revelation of the righteousness of God from faith to faith: as it is said in the holy Writings, The man who does righteousness will be living by his faith.

World English For therein is revealed a righteousness of God from faith to faith. As it is written, "But the righteous shall live by faith."

New International For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."

何謂「上帝的義」？「上帝的義」與「人的義」有什么不同？神的義在福音上顯明出來，這福音V1-4是什么？與主耶穌傳的福音是不同的嗎？這義(上帝的義，顯明出來的義)是「本於信以致於信」是什么意思？經上哈巴谷書『義人必因信得生。』的「因信得生」是怎解？   怎去理解「信」，信的背後的理念是什么？ 雙重的「信」是加強語氣？是成長地信/不斷加強的信？還是有一个過程 from first to last？一生持守的信。   路德：「生命必由信心而來」。

 信心包含認知、意志、信靠順服神的元素。
